About the Comic

Ken started to draw sock monkeys inside Christmas cards and soon the idea of doing a comic came about. He drew two pages and then promptly got writer's block and the idea was shelved. Finally in 2006, Ken decided to try to realize his dream of publishing comics and started to draw some of the comics for stuff he written over 15 years ago (stuff which didn't involve sock monkeys). Life soon derailed that idea and Ken started a masters program (which he's still in the middle of). In 2009, the itch to make a comic book became too strong. Most of the comic ideas would require a lot of time drawing, but perhaps ... perhaps maybe he could do a sock monkey comic. These could be drawn relatively quickly and realistic art wasn't required. So, Ken picked up the sock monkey comic and started work on it. This is the work (still in progress).
Today, Ken is still working on his Masters which still eats up way too much time. Hopefully, this summer he'll make an ashcan (that's comic lingo for a "mini comic"). Stay tuned!
